Rosemary at College
Written By J. Solberg
Her Year at William & Mary (1938-1939)
Rosemary Lockwood spent one year attending William & Mary before straightened financial circumstances caused her to leave college (her father, Paul Lockwood, had died in 1934). In just that one year, however, Rosemary made close friends, joined a sorority, and performed as a lead in a class show—all at the very young age of sixteen. The photos in this gallery give a glimpse of her time away at school and include outings with friends to restaurants, football games, and around campus.
